Laurel passed away in my arms yesterday 12.9.11 at 2.45 p.m. She has put up such a brave fight, but this battle we just couldn’t win.
I called the vets yesterday morning as Laurel’s condition deteriorated. Jeffrey – Laurel’s vet and head of the practice was not on duty but when he was called he said he would come to see Laurel.
When he left yesterday afternoon he said it had been and honour and a privilege to treat such a wonderful dog for nearly 15 years.
Laurel has fought a very brave and strong battle and if she was willing to do it, so was I. Over the weekend, however, we both realised the battle could not be won. Laurel was very tired and could go on no more.
Please remember Laurel in your prayers.
I have just lost my best friend. Thank you Laurel for 14 years and 8 months of pure magic.
I will keep this site open as a mark of respect for Laurel.
